Latest Update: EB-5 extension is likely to lead to a surge in last minute applications with petitioners eager to beat the deadline.

As with previous deadlines, such reauthorisations tend to herald a surge in last minute applications with applicants keen to file their I-526 petitions before the extension ends and possible higher EB-5 program investment costs kick-in. A highly experienced firm of EB-5 immigration lawyers with over 3500 EB-5 applications to their name and near-100% applications approval successes, has advised they expect a considerable bottleneck of applications as February 15 nears.

There is considerable debate amongst stakeholders in EB-5, the program is now in its 3rd decade, that it’s high time the program was reimagined. Investment cost increases to between $0.8m and $1.3m, is constantly mentioned in the media and now appear inevitable.  Learn more about the EB-5 application process here.
